PURPOSE:To stabilize the first time printing quality, by a method wherein a mechanism for operating a print wire is provided other than a print wire control mechanism for printing to enhance the stability of the first time operation of a print head after long-term standing. CONSTITUTION:A cam 23 is fixed to a printer frame out of a printing range within which a print head is moved in the directions shown by a dowbled arrow A and a push rod 21 is moved to the direction shown by an arrow B when the leading end part C of said rod 21 passes the protruded part of the cam 23.
