<p>The loudspeaker is mounted in a circular opening in the dashboard panel (1). The speaker has a plastics moulded frame (10'), which supports the magnetic assembly (2). The magnetic assembly consists of a central metal core with a coaxial ring magnet and flat pole-piece ring. The speech coil, which can move axially in the gap between the magnetic components, is mounted on the centre (15') of the conical vibration cone (11). The supple circumference (12) of the cone is glued to the frame. The drip 'run-off' (20'), which is part of the frame moulding (10') extends backwards to shield the magnetic assembly and runs around the speaker for a radial angle of 135 deg.</p> |
