<p>PURPOSE:To perform the stable denitrification of filthy water, by forming a horizontal section containing the layer of obstacles constituting a liquid-descending part and an empty liquid-ascending part in the titled apparatus, and injecting air into the liquid-ascending part to form the circulating current of the liquid. CONSTITUTION:Raw filthy water flows through a pipe 7 for the inflow of filthy water into an aeration tank 1 having a proper horizontal section. Air is sprayed through a porous injection part 2a provided at a proper position below aliquid- ascending part 1a to raise the filthy water by the action of air lift and to dissolve air in the filthy water. The air having risen and reached the liquid surface 1b flows together with sludge corresponding to filthy water flowing in through the pipe 7 for the inflow of filthy water and returned sludge from an outflow pipe 8 to a precipitation tank 4. Most of the filthy water having risen through the liquid-ascending part 1a falls downwards through a stationary bed 3 and follows a jigzag course since its passageway is curved by fillers. Hence, the agitatively mixing is well performed to execute the aeration with the dissolved oxygen.</p> |
