PURPOSE:To prepare the titled food floating on water and moving on the surface when put into water, by applying a specific emulsifier to the surface of a food having arbitrary shape and a specific gravity lower than a specific level. CONSTITUTION:The objective food can be prepared by coating at least a part of the surface of a food having arbitrary shape (granule, powder, flake, cube, etc.) and a specific gravity of <=1.0 (preferably a food composed mainly of carbohydrate) with an emulsifier having an HLB of >=3.0 and a melting point of <=45 deg.C (e.g. caprylic acid monoglyceride, sorbitan monolaurate, soybean lecithin or propylene glycol monostearate). |
