PURPOSE:To blow mold stably a polyphenylene ether resin molded product of superior wall thickness uniformity by setting the melting condition, melting temperature and extrusion speed in a given range. CONSTITUTION:Polyphenylene ether resin is melted in the range of 220-270 deg.C molding temperature by an extruder 1 set at the compression ratio of 1.5-2.1, and then extruding plasticized parison is extruded at high speed of 90mm/sec or more out of an extrusion head 3. Therefore, the variation of suitability condition generated by the internal heat build-up in the extruder is not generated, and even if some variation is generated, the wall thickness variation caused by the self-weight of parison is almost not generated, since the same is extruded at high speed of 90mm/sec or more. A divided-type mold 4 is closed just before the completion of extrusion, and compressed air is introduced to expand the parison, and the molded product is released from the mold 4 after cooling the molded product in the mold. |
