PURPOSE:To eliminate a gap caused by the play of a paper feed transfer mechanism in a paper feed direction, by rotating a stepping motor by a predetermined number of steps when a power is made ON. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor 1, a motor shaft gear 2, transfer gears 3 and 4, a paper feed shaft gear 5, and a paper feed shaft 6 are provided. By rotating the stepping motor 1 with a stepping angle S, the motor shaft gear 2 with a gear diameter (d) rotates, the transfer gears 3, 4 and the paper feed shaft 6 rotate, and thereby a paper is fed in the rotating direction of the paper feed shaft. In an initialization just after a power is ON, the stepping motor 1 is rotated in a paper feed direction by a predetermined number of steps. In this manner, a gap caused by the play of the paper feed transfer path in the paper feed direction is eliminated. |
