<p>PURPOSE:To produce a heat-insulated cup which contains foodstuffs by covering the cup with a foamed oriented cylindrical resin sleeve and winding the sleeve, which is contracted to the orientation direction by heating, around the cup to provide the cup with a heat-insulating property after heating and/or quenching the cup with foodstuffs. CONSTITUTION:As a monoaxially oriented foamed sheet material, polystyrene or polyolefine resin having a foaming magnification ranging from 1.3 to 10 times as much as its original size in the foaming rate, and the sheet thickness of preferrably 100mum-1000mum is employed. A sheet 1A made of the sheet is bonded by heat-sealing at the both edges 2, 3 thereof to form a cylindrical sleeve 1B. A cup 4 filled with foodstuffs necessary for a refort is heat-treated and covered with said sleeve 1B which is hereafter contracted in a furnace. As a result of the above, a heat-insulated cup with foodstuffs can be obtained by forming a heat insulated layer 1C wound around the cup.</p> |
