O-alkanoyl derivatives of 3-amino-2-hydroxypropanesulfonic acid having general formula H3N CH2 @@ CH2SO3 wherein R is alkanoyl having 2-5 carbon atoms and the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof are endowed with potent anticonvulsivant activity.
