PURPOSE:To attain images the same size of their original readily and accurately by detecting the size of an image obtained from a reference original, calculating the difference between detected results and the reference original, controlling the speed of a motor and automatically correcting a copying magnification. CONSTITUTION:The reference original provided with two belt-like black parts orthogonally intersecting in the exposing and scanning direction is placed on a table, which is driven to perform copying. When a sensor 25 detects the black part, it outputs the detection to a microcomputer 26, and a timer begins to count. When the sensor 25 again detects another black part, the timer stops counting, and stores the counting time in a RAM. The microcomputer 26 calculates the difference between the counting time and the reference time, corrects the speed of the motor 29, and afterwards copying actions are performed at the corrected speed. In such a way the image size is detected to automatically correct a copying magnification, whereby images the same size of their original can be attained readily and accurately. |
