A method of melt spinning pitch in which the pitch melt spinning nozzle includes a pitch flow section and a plurality of nozzle holes provided in the bottom of the nozzle. The pitch spinning method comprises passing the pitch through a nozzle including a pitch flow turning section, a pitch reservoir section, and a plurality of nozzle holes. Pitch can be spun without causing cracks and unevenness in spinning to produce pitch fibers which can in turn provide excellent carbon fibers on calcination.
