<p>PURPOSE:To make the generation of gas corrosion hard by a method wherein the gap part is filled by pouring glaze in a water chamber after a heat exchanger is formed. CONSTITUTION:The lower end 3a of an inner shell 3 is obliquely expanded and further the tip 3b of the lower end 3a is expanded with an angle a little less than the angle at the end 3a so as to be brought into contact with an outer shell 6. Accordingly, a gap 11 is produced between the tip 3b and the outer shell 6. A discharge opening 10 is provided at a position a little higher than the gap 11. After being integrally welded with a top plate 7, the inner shell 3 is inserted into the outer shell 6 so to be welded integrally. After being constituted as mentioned above, glaze is poured in a water chamber 12 and air pressure is applied in the water chamber 12. Under the conditions as mentioned above, the lower end side of a heat exchanger is inclined to about 45 degrees while the lower end side being held downwards. When the cylindrical heat exchanger 1 is inclined to about 45 degrees with the axis center line of the heat exchager 1 as the axis of inclination, the heat exchanger 1 is turned back to its original vertical position. After repeating said inclination of the heat exchanger the required number of times, the heat exchanger the required number of times, the heat exchanger 1 is inclined to about 45 degrees while the lower end side being held downwards and, after that, the discharge opening is open. Excess glaze or glaze which is left without adhering onto the surface of the water chamber 12 is forcibly exhausted by means of pneumatic pressure. Next, the heat exchanger is dried and baked in a baking furnace.</p> |
