PURPOSE:To obtain the optical element of one-chip constitution by forming the single element of an optical isolator as an electromagnet using a superconducting coil and an optical device other hand the optical isolator. CONSTITUTION:The single element consists of the optical isolator 1 which uses the superconducting coil 11 as the magnetic field producing means and the optical device other hand the optical isolator 1. The optical device is preferably a semiconductor laser 2. The optical isolator 1 which employs the electromagnet using the superconducting coil 11 is used to put the semiconductor laser 2 and optical isolator 1 in the one element, and a semiconductor laser element which is stable to return light is obtained. |
