PURPOSE:To miniaturize and lighten an independent type rear suspension and restrain toe-out by installing lateral links on a wheel supporting member which is linked rotatably around a vertical axis and displaceably to a swing arm, in such a way that the installing points thereof are not aligned in a place perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body. CONSTITUTION:One end of a wheel supporting member 12 is linked to the rear end of a swing arm 18 rotatably around a vertical axis 30 and displaceably. And, the wheel side ends of lateral links 20, 22, 24 are installed on the wheel supporting member 12 via rubber bushes 20a, 22a, 24a respectively. In this case, the installing points of the lateral links 20, 22, 24 on the wheel supporting member 12 are placed in such a way that these points are not aligned in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body. By this structure, the suspension can be miniaturized and lightened while preventing toe-out. |
