PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for selecting a paper supply part for supplying specified color paper with a manual operation and to improve operability by automatically selecting the paper supply part for supplying the specified color paper, following a previously decided rule based on the color of toner which a developing unit prepares. CONSTITUTION:When the developing unit is selected by operating keys 311 and 312 for selecting a developing unit, the cassette paper supply part is automatically selected so that the toner color code of the developing unit does not coincide with the paper color code of the cassette paper supply part which is selected at present. Therefore, miscopying that a copied image can not be discriminated because the color of the copying paper and the color of the copied image formed on the paper coincide with each other can be prevented. Especially, it becomes effective if the color of toner is white. Thus, the color of the paper which is automatically supplied can be selected corresponding to the color of the toner in the developing unit which is going to be used and the operability can be improved. |
