The invention relates to a load-bearing structure for coffered ceilings having a downwardly open box profile as load-bearing rail. A load-bearing profile with a greater moment of inertia than the box profile is inserted into said box profile and is connected in a positively locking and/or frictionally locking manner to the box profile at the bearing points.
