Method and appliance for the wet treatment of textile material containing wool which is guided continuously at high speed, its kinetic energy being converted into impact energy, and the textile material being flung multiply in succession in a free-flying manner against a baffle surface, being guided further by sliding off from the latter in an unplaited manner, being accelerated again and at the same time being subjected to reversed bending.
