PURPOSE:To efficiently collect plasma, by a method wherein collected blood is once stored in the first blood storage part and the stored blood is sent to a plasma separator by the recirculation pump arranged on the downstream side of the first blood storage part while the flow rate thereof is made larger than a blood collecting flow rate. CONSTITUTION:The blood collected at a puncture part 11 is passed through a line 12 by a pump 13 used in both of the collection and return of blood to be once stored in the first blood storage part 14. The blood from which a part of plasma is separated is stored in the second blood storage part 22 through a line 21. When the amount of the blood stored in the first blood storage part 14 becomes a definite value or less, the pump 13 used in both of the collection and return of blood is reversed to start the collection of blood from a blood donor. This collected blood passes through the plasma separator with priority to the stored blood of the first blood storage part 14. Therefore, the pressure at the entrance and exit of the plasma separator does not rise to safely collect plasma. |
