<p>The position sensor of the transformer type comprises a secondary winding (12) consisting of three groups (A, B, C) of elementary coils generating three separate output signals (Va, Vb, Vc). Each of the groups (A, B, C) is subdivided into subgroups (A1, A2, A3, A4, B1, B2, C1), each comprising at least two elementary coils connected electrically in series. When a movable element, the position of which is to be determined, is displaced opposite the elementary coils of a subgroup, the output signal of the corresponding group varies substantially linearly. This substantially linear variation makes it possible to obtain a good measurement accuracy. The device is used for detecting the position of the control rods of a nuclear reactor. <IMAGE></p> |
