PURPOSE: To reduce clerk's trouble and improve counting precision by confirming the number of transaction media and setting the transaction media in a storage part through a series of successive operations. CONSTITUTION: On the rear side in the main body 14 of a bill reception and payment unit 12, 1st-4th safe cassettes 16-19 are arranged, and at the almost vertically center part on the front side in the main body 14, an inspection part 36 is arranged. The denominations of the transaction media stored in the safe cassettes 16-18 are decided and counted by the inspection part 36 halfway in conveyance, and the media are stored in a safe cassette 19. After the numbers of the transaction media by the denominations are determined, the transaction media stored in the safe cassette 19 are conveyed to the safe cassettes 16-18 and stored by the denominations. |
