PURPOSE:To enable working power to be peak-cut without lowering working efficiency, by compensating for the short component of compression air at the time of the peak cut of the working power, with an engine compressor. CONSTITUTION:To a box piping 18 for feeding compression air to a box tank 19, via check valves 17, motor compressors 7-11 and engine compressors 12-16 are connected. The power load of the whole plant is detected via a watthour meter 3 and is fed from a demand controlling section 21 to a control section 25. When the load of the whole plant is increased and it is estimated that the load exceeds a specified level, then by command from the demand controlling section 21, the motor compressors 7-11 are stopped in order with the control section 25, and the engine compressors 12-16 are started. By an MC control selecting section 26 and an EC control selecting section 27, the order of starting is controlled so that the use of the motor compressors and the engine compressors may be averaged. |
