PURPOSE: To prevent the luminance of a light emitting cell from being reduced by starting the rising of scanning voltage for a succeeding scanning electrode simultaneously with or previously to the rising of current scanning voltage. CONSTITUTION: A scanning driver 5 is provided with plural gate circuits 6 for applying output signals from respective steps of a shift register 4 and plural push-pull output steps 7 for outputting scanning voltage based upon output signals from the circuits 6. The start of rising of scanning voltage from the push-pull step 7 controlled by the post stage gate circuit 6 and the start of rising of scanning voltage from the push-pull step 7 controlled by the prestage gate circuit 6 are almost simultaneously executed. Since rising time and falling time are mutually overlapped, the time of peak voltage can be extended, the equivalent pulse width of impressed voltage can be extended and luminance can be improved. |
