PURPOSE:To realize the acoustic confirmation of input with no visual confirmation of the screen of a display device by converting character code inputted through a keyboard into KANJI (Chinese character) and outputs the KANJI with accents in voices. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is provided with a KANA (Japanese syllabary)/ KANJI converting part 5 which converts the KANA character code inputted from a keyboard 1 or a Roman character/KANA converting part 3 into KANJI, a dictionary 6 containing accents which stores the character codes, the KANJI codes and the accents of KANJI set opposite to each other, a character code/ voice converting part 7 which converts the character code converted by the part 3 or 5 into voice signals and a speaker 8 which converts said voice signals into voices. Thus the character code inputted from the keyboard 1 is converted into KANJI and this KANJI is outputted in voices and with accents. Thus a user can confirm an input sentence in voices without confirming visually a display screen 4. |
