PURPOSE:To keep off any moisture sticking to and absorbed by an electrode part surely as well as to prevent any drop in a cell characteristic and damage to an electrode from occurring by heating gas with a gas heater at the inlet side of a supply line to the extent of more than a boiling point of water corresponding to the gas pressure, and feeding it to a fuel cell body. CONSTITUTION:Pressure in each gas to be fed to a cell body 1 and a pressure vessel 2 through supply lines 3-5 for fuel gas, oxidizing gas and inactive gas is regulated by a pressure regulating valve 7, while both fuel and oxidizing gases are heated to more than a boiling point of water corresponding to the gas pressure by a controller 10 via a heater 6 and then fed to the cell body 1. Moisture contained in these fuel and oxidizing gases is thus exhausted to the outside of a system together off gas and exhaust air as aqueous vapor without being stuck to and absorbed by a fuel electrode 1b and an oxidizer electrode 1c. |
