<p>PURPOSE:To intensify the mechanical strength of a magnetic layer and to improve the durability thereof by making combination use of a binder resin having a glycidyl group and a phosphated binder resin as a binder component. CONSTITUTION:This recording medium is produced by coating a magnetic coating compd. contg. magnetic powder, the binder resin having the glycidyl group and the phosphated binder resin as well as a binder resin to be used in combination, org. solvent and other additives on a substrate by spraying, roll coating or other arbitrary means and drying the coating. Namely, the binder resin having the glycidyl group has high reactivity and makes crosslinking bonding by reacting with each other when said resin is used in combination with the phosphated binder resin. The mechanical strength of the magnetic layer is thereby intensified and the durability is improved.</p> |
