PURPOSE: To almost completely seal a case of an IC card to prevent the intrusion of dirt and dust into the case by performing the ultrasonic wave welding to an almost total periphery of an upper case piece and a lower case piece. CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic wave welding oscillator 15 totally having the shape of a hollow box corresponding to the shape of a case 10 of an IC card, is positioned in reference to a step part 16a of a recessed part formed on a surface side of an upper case piece 1, and in this state, the ultrasonic wave welding face 13b of an inner flange part 11b of an upper case piece 1 and an inner inclined face 14b of a lower case piece 6 are welded throughout the total periphery of the inner flange part 11b by the operation of the oscillator 15. On this occasion, a horizontal lower face 13a of an outer flange part 11a is connected with an upper face 14a of a flange 14 of a lower case 6 to form the double sealing condition. By almost completely sealing the case as mentioned above, the intrusion of dirt and dust can be prevented, and the liquid such as water, oil or the like is not penetrated inside from a gap of the adhesion part of the case pieces even when the liquid such as the water, oil or the like is brought into contact with the case. |
