PURPOSE:To prevent generation of troubles such as roll breakdown by joining a metal plate on the side of a roll body made of ceramics and engaging a projection of a cross key with a key hole bored in the metal sheet. CONSTITUTION:A taper sleeve 16 is put on the tapered part of a driving shaft 15 and a roll body 17 made of ceramics is mounted on the sleeve 16. A metal plate 21 is joined on the side of the body 17 through a joining layer 22 and a couple of key holes 23 are formed. Projections 25 of a cross key 24 inserted into a lateral hole of the sleeve 16 and the shaft 15 are engaged with the key holes 23 to connect the shaft 15 with the body 17. By that, a stress concentration source such as a key hole, etc., is eliminated from the body 17 made of ceramics, so that troubles such as breakdown is prevented and working is also easily performable. |
