METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSFERRING BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE TO TRANSFER FILM FROM GEL

PURPOSE: To transfer a biological sample to a transfer film from a gel in a short time by collecting a transfer solution passed through the gel and transfer film in a water tank. CONSTITUTION: A gel 16 containing a biological sample is held on a transfer film 18 and a transfer solution 30 is held on the gel 16. After the solution 30 is passed through the gel 16, the biological sample carried by the gel 16 is transferred onto a film 18 through the film 18. Then the solution 30 passed through the gel 16 and film 18 is collected in a water tank 22 provided below the gel 16 and film 18. In order to complete the transfer of the sample to the film 18 from the gel 16 as quickly as possible, a prescribed amount of the transfer solution is made to flow through the gel 16 and film 18 within a prescribed period of time. In addition, a prescribed vacuum is applied to a porous supporting plate 42 provided below the film 18 from the bottom side so that a prescribed amount of the transfer solution 30 can be sucked through the gel 16 and film 18 within a prescribed period of time.
