Shaped articles of thermoplastic material and process for producing them.

There are described shaped articles consisting of an outer hollow envelope of a thermoplastic material and of an inner thermally insulating mass of polyurethane, foamed in situ, bonded to the polymeric envelope as to form one unique structural body. The process for producing them comprises the blow moulding of the outer hollow envelope and the subsequent introduction inside the interior chamber of a reactive polyurethane blend, which forms in situ the heat insulation consisting of foamed polyurethane.
