<p>Rectangular machines components are washed and dried by a machine with two disc-shaped rotors (2,3) spaced apart on a horizontal driving shaft. Each rotor has rectangular openings (5) around its periphery, to receive the components (4), one rotor (2) being partly immersed in a liquid bath (14) containing a rotary head (8) to a system of drying air jets. The nozzles have horizontal supply tubes with inwardly bent ends guiding water at high pressure or air towards the sides of the components. The nozzles can then be rotated round each component while stationary so that the component is treated all round. Both rotors can be partly immersed in vessels so that either can be used for different treatments.</p> |
