PURPOSE:To enhance dryability, water resistance, resolution, clearness and sharpness of images, enhance image density and prevent nozzles from being clogged, by adhering a colorless or light-colored liquid containing a quaternary ammonium salt and/or an amine salt to a recording medium, and adhering an ink containing a dye having an acidic group to the part to which the liquid is adhered, thereby forming an image. CONSTITUTION:A colorless or light-colored liquid containing a quaternary ammonium salt and/or an amine salt comprising at least one 4C or higher alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group in the molecule thereof is adhered to a recording medium, and an ink containing a dye having an acidic group is adhered to the part to which the liquid is adhered, thereby forming an image. The quaternary ammonium salt or amine salt of the dye precipitate without being dissolved in a water-based ink when the group combining with a cation is a highly hydrophobic group such as a higher alkyl, whereby water resistance, clearness and density of images are enhanced. |
