The impact safety bar for vehicles comprises a thin-walled closed and trapezoidal cross-section, with two parallel flanges (4,5) and two webs (6) angled to these. One or both flanges has projecting corners (7) which extend along the bar and project outward from the place through the flanges and away from the bar at the edges of the flanges. - Only the narrower flange need have the projecting corners. The webs may be slightly bent in the direction toward the centre of the safety bar. The bar can be produced in one or several pieces, with a weld (8) at the centre of the narrow flange.(2/6) |
