PURPOSE:To attain a sufficient gas-liquid contact by providing a water-flow generator with a draft ring surrounding the blades of the water-flow generator, further providing an air box in front of the rotating shaft of the blades, said air box having an air outlet on its front side, and connecting a feed pipe for compressed air to the air box. CONSTITUTION:A water-flow generator 1 which generates a water stream by rotating blades 2 is provided with a draft ring 6 which surrounds the blades 2. Further, an air box 7 is provided in front of the rotating shaft of the blades 2, said air box having an air outlet 7a on its front side, and a feed pipe 8 for compressed air is connected to the air box 7. As a result, an air flow is formed in a jet swirl developing forward from the blades, and the flow of air is divided into fine particles by the action of the jet swirl and dispersed in the water. Further, the air particles thus formed are transferred and scattered over a wide range by means of a water stream formed by continuous operation, whereby gas-liquid mixing can be performed sufficiently and, thus, biodegradation etc. can be allowed to proceed smoothly. |
