摘要 A process for producing a film is provided in which even when the rate of film formation is heightened, the film is inhibited from having surface failures such as transverse lines due to separation, steaks, or unevenness. The process for producing a film comprises continuously extruding a molten film-forming material including a thermoplastic resin into a filmy shape through a casting die, bringing the filmy melt into contact with the peripheral surface of a first rotator, and pressing the filmy melt against the surface of the first rotator by means of a second rotator to thereby cool and solidify the melt. The process is characterized in that when a film is produced at a film formation rate of 20-80 m/min., then the temperature of the second rotator, TTR (ºC), and the film formation rate, V (m/min.), satisfy relationship (1): Tg-0.5V-75=TTR=Tg-0.1V-55 (wherein Tg is the glass transition temperature of the film) and the temperature of the first rotator, TCR (ºC), is in the range of (Tg-80)ºC to TgºC (wherein Tg has the same meaning as defined above).
