The invention relates to a shoulder support device for hand-held tools, made up of a butt which can be retracted into the body of the tool of which it forms part. It is made up of a butt comprising (one or) a number of rails 2 joined to a heel 1 intended to work by bearing against the shoulder of the user, it being possible for these rails to be retracted inside the body of the tool so as to facilitate transportation thereof. The butt is locked by a stud device acting on its rails perpendicularly to them. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for hand-held tools such as portable drills. <IMAGE>
