<p>PURPOSE:To correct jamming smoothly through an external controller by providing a means for informing paper discharge timing information to the external controller. CONSTITUTION:A toner image is transferred onto a paper through a transfer charger 5. After the toner image is fixed through a fixing roller 15, the paper is discharged to any one of a face-up tray 18 or a face-down tray 19. Papers P2, P3 are printed sequentially, then the paper P2 is carried from a rear face discharge section 17 to the face-down tray 19 while the paper P3 is carried to the face-up tray 18. Data on the papers P2, P3 are not erased until discharge of the paper P2 from the rear face discharge section 17 is confirmed even if discharge of the paper P3 is confirmed first. Upon confirmation of the paper P2 discharge, data on the papers P2, P3 are erased. Upon jamming of any one of the papers P2, P3 before confirmation of paper P2 discharge, reprint is started from the paper P2 containing oldest data.</p> |
