<p>The present invention discloses equipment suitable for night time golf, tennis and other games played outside on a playing surface. The playing surface is divided into portions (3, 4, 5, 6) by marking strips (10) which are substantially continuous with the playing surface and which are luminescent. Preferably fluorescent marking strips are provided and the playing surface is illuminated by ultraviolet light sources (8). Apparatus (40, 60) for washing and irradiating, or just irradiating, a fluorescent ball (31) is also disclosed.</p> |
