PURPOSE:To restrain the pressure drop of an air electrode by providing an equalizer tube between a cell container and the air electrode, opening first a valve in the tube and for the predetermined time opening first a discharge valve fitted at the inlet or outlet side of a fuel electrode for restraining the pressure rise thereof in an initial load interruption stage. CONSTITUTION:An equalizer valve 21 is provided at the outlet side of a cell container 14 and an air electrode 15, and a discharge valve 22 is provided at the outlet side of a fuel electrode 16. And a control system is adopted for first opening said equalizer valve 21 on the basis of a stop signal at the time of load interruption, and opening first the discharge valve 22 at the outlet side of the fuel electrode 16 for the predetermined time. At the time of load interruption, pressure between the cell container 14 and the air electrode 15 is equalized and an inert gas is supplied from the container 14 to the side of the air electrode 15 through the equalizer valve 21, thereby restraining the pressure of the air electrode 15. |
