PURPOSE:To stably hold a scale factor as input and output characteristics, by normally operating the scale factor stabilizing circuit of a light interference angular velocity meter even when a phase modulation level is varied by environmental change. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light supply 11 is distributed by a light distributing coupler 26 and the distributed lights are passed through an optical path 16 in clockwise and counterclockwise directions and subsequently coupled by the light distributing coupler 26 to interfere with each other to be received by a light receiver 21. At this time, a phase modulator 22 modulates the phases of the lights propagating in mutually reverse directions and the synchronous detection output at phase modulation frequency f0 is outputted as an angular velocity signal through a linearizer 37. The synchronous detection output of the double-wave component of modulation frequency is added to the output of a low band-pass filter 33 through an amplifier 35, and the resulting output and the output of a synchronous detection circuit 32 are squared and added while the difference with the output of a reference signal generator 51 is negatively fed back to a light supply quantity-of-light control circuit 30 through an integrator 52. |
