Process and apparatus for the sewing and cutting of padded-cushion parts with an automated device which combines the operations of sewing on the selvedge and of cutting out the parts, sewing onto the longitudinal and transverse webs (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) being possible along the lines (8, 9), so that chambers are obtained, whilst, in a broadening of the previous patent, the sewing drives (11, 11') and cutting drives (13, 13') are equipped with different path movements by different controls, and there are installed on both sides of an installation, in respectively different systems of coordinates (X, Y and X', Y') controlled from separate controls, a plurality of sewing and cutting heads (11, 11'), (13, 13') which then, for example, sew from above a plurality of selvedges on the same part or a special selvedge on different parts. <IMAGE>
