<p>The device described has an adhesive nicotine reservoir with uniform or non-uniform distribution of the nicotine. The reservoir is manufactured using a hot-melt adhesive with a processing temperature of 40 to 80 degrees Celsius, preferably 40 to 60 degrees Celsius, and ideally between 40 and 55 degrees Celsius. Also described is a process for manufacturing the device with continuous or intermittent application of nicotine-containing molten hot-melt adhesive at an adhesive temperature between 40 and 80, preferably 40 and 60, and ideally 40 and 55 degrees Celsius, to a support and, if necessary, application of a layer of protective material.</p> |
