PURPOSE: To obtain the subject ink, comprising a specific pigment, a polyvinyl butyral resin, a butylated melamine resin and an alcoholic solvent and/or a glycol ethereal solvent, good in fluidity and capable of manifesting excellent washing resistance without carrying out heat treatment. CONSTITUTION: This ink for printing a pigment resin is obtained by mixing a pigment having the surface treated with an aluminum-based coupling agent, a polyvinyl butyral resin, a butylated melamine resin and an alcoholic solvent and/or a glycol ethereal solvent (e.g. methanol or ethanol or methyl cellosolve) and kneading and dispersing the mixture with a homomixer, etc. The ink is excellent in dispersion stability and a printed material with the ink is further excellent in washing resistance and dry cleaning fastness and rich in fluidity and stability. Thereby, the ink is suitable as a writing utensil. |
