发明名称 THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material excellent in the readability of a bar code, by containing color dye or pigment and specifying the max. value of absorbancy when the surface of the recording material is irradiated with visible monochromatic light and the absorbancy to the light having the wavelength used in the reading of a developed color part. CONSTITUTION:By containing a color dye or pigment in this thermal recording material, the max. value of absorbancy when the surface of said recording material is irradiated with visible light is set to 0.3-0.8 and the absorbancy to the light having the wavelength used in reading is set to 0.2 or less. The compounding amount of the color dye or pigment for the max. value the absorbancy of visible light to 0.3-0.8 is 0.1-5g per 1m<2> of the thermal recording material. In order to set the absorbancy to the light having the wavelength used in reading to 0.2 or less, the use amount of the dye or pigment absorbing reading light is reduced and a dye or pigment having color near to said dye or pigment and low in the absorption of reading light is compounded if necessary. The color dye or pigment to be used can be appropriately selected from various known dyes or pigments used in paper, fiber and paint industries.
