<p>PURPOSE:To make an ultrasonic linear motor device small in size and light in weight, by forming an ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer by multiple pieces of electrostrictive elements with a phase difference and by raising a progressive wave with high frequency voltage applied. CONSTITUTION:A movable body 2 is pressed and brought into contact with a bar elastic body 1. On the other part of the bar elastic body 1 multiple piezoelectric body 5 is fixed and arranged. The bar elastic body 1 is bent in curvature to make it an endless structure. A linear motor is thus constituted. An ultrasonic piezoelectric transducer composed of this piezoelectric body 5 and the bar elastic body 1 causes curvature oscillation to its bar elastic body 1 and its undulation propagates along the bar elastic body 1, circulating on the ring in a surface progressive wave. The movable body 2 goes straight on the distance L by this progressive wave with frictional driving.</p> |
