PURPOSE: To lighten an weight of a compressor and an air conditioner by using a fibrous reinforced resin matrix hybrid material which is combined with a rigid fibrous reinforced glass matrix as a housing. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder liner 2 which is made of a rigid tubiform fibrous reinforced glass matrix hybrid material is stuck closely to a cylindrical inside diameter of the housing 1 which is made of a fibrous reinforced resin matrix. A piston 3 is housed in a tubiform liner 2. A piston ring 4 touches on the inside of the liner 2 and is sealed. The piston is reciprocated by a rod 5. On a sliding vane rotary compressor, the liner 22 which is made of a rigid fibrous reinforced glass matrix hybrid material is stuck to the inside of the cylindrical inside diameter of the housing 21 which is made of the fibrous reinforced resin matrix in other embodiment.
