<p>PURPOSE:To ensure a stable and highly accurate conversion with A/D and D/A converters, by controlling the start/stop of the circuits except the A/D converter in response to the A/D conversion accuracy. CONSTITUTION:When an A/D conversion instruction is issued from an internal circuit for request of high accuracy, a control circuit 9 recognizes the presence of a high accuracy conversion instruction and produces a start/stop signal of the circuit 5 as well as an accuracy deciding signal showing the highly accurate conversion. The circuit 5 stops the operations of circuits except a clock generating circuit by the start/stop signal. A 10-bit A/D converter 4 continues its converting job even in a stop period caused by the circuit 5. When the converting instruction produced from the circuit 5 requests no highly accurate conversion, the circuit 9 produces no start/stop signal nor accuracy deciding signal to the circuit 5. As a result, the circuit 5 continues its ordinary action thereafter and at the same time the converter 4 performs its converting job.</p> |
