<p>PURPOSE: To form flexible joints in existing buried pipes without digging by cutting the existing buried pipe with a cutting machine in the buried pipe and attaching a flexible seal member, a resilient seal member and lock bands in the cut region. CONSTITUTION: An existing buried pipe 10 is cut with a cutting machine 13 in the interior of the buried pipe 10. A flexible seal member 14, a resilient seal member 33 and lock bands 34 are attached in the cut region 10A to form a flexible joint 11. In this way, the forming of the flexible joint 11 by cutting the existing buried pipe 10 and attaching the flexible seal member 14, the resilient seal member 33 and lock bands 34 is conducted in the interior of the pipe, without need for digging.</p> |
