PURPOSE:To enable energy to be entirely utilized for writing without any ohmic loss due to electrode needles when a writing current is passed, thereby reduced power loss, to reduce a rise in the temperature of an electrode head for a printer and enhance recording speed, by using a superconductive material for the electrode needles of the head. CONSTITUTION:Electrode needles 1 comprise stripes of a superconductive material sandwiched and fixed between bases 2a, 2b of hexagonal boron nitride in the state of being arrayed horizontally in a density of 16 stripes/mm. The electrode needle array 1 is connected to a driving IC 4, and is connected to a connector 6 through a circuit board 5. In this printer head, the electrical resistance of the electrode needles is zero, so that energy is not lost in an electrode needle part when a pulsed current is supplied for discharge breakdown. Therefore, an electrode head for a printer is obtained in which heat generation at a tip part of the head is extremely slight. |
