PURPOSE:To effectively remove residual impurities derived from the production of ion exchange resin by bringing strong acidic cation exchange resin or strong basic anion exchange resin into contact with the mixed liquid of common salt and an alkali agent. CONSTITUTION:Strong acidic cation exchange resin is immersed in the mixed liquid of common salt and an alkali agent in a vessel such as a column for about 2-12hr. At this time, as composition of the mixed liquid of common salt and the alkali agent, common salt is 2-4 times equivalent for ion-exchange capacity of strong acidic cation exchange resin and the concn. is regulated to about 10% and the alkali agent is 0.3-0.5 times equivalent and its concn. is regulated to about 1%. As the alkali agent, caustic soda is preferably used. By the above treatment, the impurities remaining in the insides of resin particles derived from a producing process of resin can be completely dissolved out. Further, even in the case of strong basic anion resin, the same method as the above process can be performed. |
