PURPOSE:To reduce noise, to prevent an all season type pneumatic tire having a snow characteristic from being eccentrically worn and to enhance the dry maneuvering stability by forming cut-outs having a specific width and depth in the walls of main grooves and subgrooves in parallel with the bottoms thereof, and by forming curfs in the block surfaces at predetermined positions. CONSTITUTION:Cut-outs 6 having a width (a) of 0.5-2mm and a depth (2b) of 1-3mm are formed in the wall surfaces of main grooves 2 and subgrooves 3, 4 in parallel with the bottoms thereof at a height (h) which is 0.5-0.7 times as high as the depth D of the main grooves or the subgrooves. Further, a curf 7 is formed in each block surface at a position having a distance of less than 10mm from the wall surface side in which a cut-out 6 is formed. Further, the depth of the curf 7 is set to be shallower than the position of the cut-out 6. With this arrangement it is possible to provide a pneumatic tire having a satisfactory on-snow traction and low noise, and to prevent the tire from being eccentrically worn and to enhance the dry maneuvering stability. |
