PURPOSE:To enable an image of good quality to be recorded, by a method wherein a surface of a recording material which is rotated by alterating a relative positional relation between the recording material and a recording head to a rotary axial direction of the recording material is heated with the recording head according to an image signal. CONSTITUTION:A recording material impregnated with thermal transferring ink 1 is so constructed as to be rotatable in the arrow (a) direction with a motor, and said recording material 2 is equipped with a pressure contact member 4 in a pressure contact and separating free manner at a pressure contact part A. A recording head 5 which can be heated according to an image signal bears a surface of the recording material 2. When the surface of the rotary recording material 2 is heated with the recording head 5, the ink 1 impregnated inside the recording material 2 is fused or is made low viscous in an image pattern state, and a recording latent image is formed on the surface of the recording material. When a recording medium (for instance, recording paper, plastics sheet, etc.), is conveyed to the pressure contact part A by a conveyance means 6 to be synchronized with formation of this recording latent image, the recording latent image is pressured onto a recording paper 7, and the ink which has been fused or made low viscous is transferred to the recording paper 7. Then, the recording paper 7 which has been specifically recorded is discharged onto a discharged tray 8. |
